The Pushkin Hotel

Here are some pictures of our new home for the next couple of months. We didn't get an apartment style suite because there were none available, but our travelling partners didn't even get a standard room here - they are in an apartment somewhere. We get free wireless internet (when it works), daily breakfast in the restaurant, and I don't have to make a bed or clean the bathroom! We were surprised to be able to connect with the web cam and see and talk to my mom and dad, then Derek, Rhiana, Livia and Brody. Way to go Derek, for getting it figured out (as of the day before we left, we couldn't get it to work)! We're now waiting to hear from our coordinator to find out the plans for today.

Hi Stacey and Dave:

Congratulations on making it safely to Uralsk.

We're Bob and Karen Williams—we live just south of you in Minneapolis. And we're also adopting a child (between the ages of 3 and 6) from Uralsk and our first day there is March 3rd.

It would be fun to get together over coffee or a bite to eat. We'll be staying in an apartment, but the Pushkin is a landmark, so there should be no problem finding you.

You can contact me via email at karen_pere@yahoo.com or I can send you an invite to our blog (littlekazman.blogspot.com)

Hope to hear from you!

Good luck,
Karen & Bob
